The Orientation staff welcomes all members of your family. However due to limited space, we can only guarantee seating during sessions for students and two family members. Please keep this in mind when registering additional guests.
Parent Lodging Options
Option #1 Residence Hall
Meals and Lodging are available for a fee for parents. There is an option for parents to stay on campus as well as an option for parents to purchase a meal package only. For more information and to sign up for either of these services, please visit Summer Conferences.
Option # 2. The Inn at Virginia Tech
The university's beautiful new hotel and conference center that boasts a full-service restaurant. For more information call toll free 877/200-3360 or visit the web site.
Option #3. Area Hotels (off campus)
Parent Dining Options
Option #1. Meal Card
Includes on-campus lunch and dinner on Day 1 and breakfast on Day 2. Whether you are staying on campus or off campus you have the convenient option of purchasing a meal card and eating meals provided by Student Programs. You may choose to stay off campus but still purchase a meal plan. Visit Summer Conferences to register or you can purchase your meal plan when you arrive.
Option #2. Do Your Own Thing
There are plenty of dining options within walking distance of all the Orientation activities.
